2020 End of Year Dinner

Notably, a number of awards for various categories namely; Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards, Health Security Safety and Environment (HSSE) Awards, Most Improved Staff Awards, Certificate of Excellence were presented at the dinner. Some of the recipients of these awards include Terdoo Akaa, Yetunde Odejobi, Halima Dokpesi, Omosigho Egbon, Isegun Olonade, Tayo Rhodes-Vivour, Gloria Ode, Chijioke Uzoho, Isaac Uchendu, Ipadeola Egundeyi amongst others. The recipients expressed gratitude to the Management and Staff of GACN for the recognitions while committing to continued demonstration of value in the coming years.

Awards of recognition were also presented to all the Past MDs of GACN.  Two of the past MDs, Dr. David Ige and Engr. Kunle Allen commended the progress made by GACN over the years while citing some milestone achievements. They expressed their appreciation to the members of Staff for their relentless efforts and encouraged the company to keep the momentum going.

In his address, the MD & CEO of GACN, Mr. Olaleken Ogunleye thanked Staff for putting their best foot forward to ensure maximum productivity even during a year where many reported negative things. He added that the company grew in the year despite the pandemic, which was evidenced in the increase in the corporate visibility of the company as well as growth in domestic gas demand and usage. Mr. Ogunleye also reported that there were no incidents during the year in record and encouraged the Management and Staff to continue to stay safe as they thrive to move the organization forward.

Mr. Ogunleye further expressed his gratitude to the past MDs of GACN for their immense contributions which he noted as central to the growth and current positioning of GACN. He also thanked GACN Stakeholders for their enormous contributions to the success of GACN in the year 2020.
