The World Gas Conference is the world’s largest, and one of the most significant gas industry events where thousands of industry stakeholders congregate every three years. Gas Aggregation Company Nigeria Limited (“GACN”), in its quest for the promotion of natural gas, attended the 28th World Gas Conference (the “WGC2022”), hosted by the Korean Gas Union in Daegu, Korea. The theme was “A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE – POWERED BY GAS” and was held from Monday 23rd May to Friday 27th May 2022. 23rd of May to the 27th May 2022. With over 9,500 attended consisting of industry stakeholders and professionals including VPs and Heads of Departments, Engineers, and Technical Specialists, Legal and Finance Professionals, this global energy event combined business leaders, experts, and policymakers across the gas industry with the core aim and objective of promoting the role of natural gas.
GACN, represented by the Acting Managing Director, Chijioke Uzoho, took advantage of the opportunity the WGC2022 provided with regard to discussing timely industry-related issues and the global agenda in relation to gas during the WGC2022 and through exclusive network events. Over 300 exhibitors provided a dynamic opportunity for engagements in the gas sector with exhibitors spanning the entire spectrum of the gas sector, covering solution providers, producers, and buyers. The Nigerian oil and gas sector participation in the WGC2022 including Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), and the Ministry of State for Petroleum Resources (MPR) serves to buttress its significant commitment to the decade of gas revolution.
GACN, with its increased mandate, will continue to support, and take advantage of such events and engagements to place GACN at the forefront of the global energy transition.
